Game 14: BV West

3 May vs. BV West at STA (0-1)

Well, we gave up a goal only 6 minutes into the match. Now Jacobsen hit a great shot, but we allowed a throw-in into the middle of field to run her by one centerback and on to the next. Secondary coverage sat far too deep, so when one feint got her space enough she fired. That became the game. 

We did have a few early opportunities, most dangerous Klanke's Tball that Marge dummied for an easy finish on the backside. But we misstruck it. 

Second half was a lot of back and forth with not a lot of great opportunities. I thought the match was pretty even with most of the play in the middle third. 

BWhite named Brigid Linder the BWhite Player of the Match. She played lots of Centerback besides left back and shutdown some very nice players. 

Good luck to West. They are my pick to win 6A. Very good squad. And Alex does a nice job with them.
